Home Energy & HVAC Rebates for Wisconsin Homeowners

Written by Billy Thompson | January 9, 2023

Keeping your home systems in proper working condition can get expensive fast. Thankfully, Wisconsin families can take advantage of several rebates and tax incentives to help them afford the cost of their HVAC, electrical, and plumbing upgrades.

These incentives help families afford replacement services and help maximize energy efficiency since many rebates and incentives are targeted at energy-efficient systems. Keep reading to discover which rebates you may qualify for in Wisconsin.

Our current offers page reflects up-to-date Focus on Energy, All Comfort Services Discounts, Inflation Reduction Act, and Lennox Rebates.

HVAC Rebates for Wisconsin Residents

Families looking to upgrade their heating and air conditioning equipment may qualify for several rebates and tax incentives through one of these programs:

Smart Thermostats

Wisconsin residents interested in installing a new smart thermostat in their home may qualify for a cash rebate of up to $50. To be eligible for the rebate, your smart thermostat must:

  • Not be purchased as resale, leased, rebuilt, rented, received from insurance claims, a manufacturer warranty, or won as a prize
  • Be accompanied by a valid receipt
  • Be installed by a professional contractor

After installation, you’ll need to work with your contractor to complete the rebate application.

Under Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy program, homeowners may qualify for special rebates for upgrading to more energy-efficient HVAC systems. The amount you receive depends on your household income. Those with an income below the upper limits may receive higher cash incentives.

To see if you qualify for heating and cooling incentives in Wisconsin, you’ll need to:

  • Confirm participation with your utility provider
  • Determine if you’re eligible for income-qualified rebates
  • Submit your rebate application within 60 days of installation

Wisconsin Plumbing Incentives

While Wisconsin doesn’t currently offer any rebates for plumbing projects, the Energy Saving Packs program offers families free ways to make their plumbing systems more energy-efficient. Families can order energy-efficient products for their homes for free through the Focus on Energy program.

Available items include:

  • High-efficiency showerheads: These showerheads reduce the number of gallons of water used per minute and can help lower your water and heating bills.
  • Water-saving faucet aerators: A simple screw-in device, these faucet aerators help reduce water usage while maintaining ample pressure to help you save money on heating your water.
  • Pipe insulation: Using pipe insulation on your cold and hot water pipes can help reduce heat loss by up to 80% and will keep cold water pipes from sweating.

Electrical Rebates for Wisconsin Families

Along with the plumbing products available through the Energy Saving Packs program, Wisconsin families can also request electrical items for free, including:

  • ENERGY STAR®-certified LED bulbs: These lightbulbs use up to 90% less energy than standard bulbs, produce less heat and more light per watt, and have a longer life span.
  • Advanced power strip: Plugging your devices into advanced power strips can help keep plugged-in electronics from draining your energy when they aren’t in use.

If you’re looking to update your home’s HVAC, electrical, or plumbing fixtures, All Comfort Services is here to help.
